openmediavault login user password not change issue ...

https://github.com/openmediavault/openmediavault/issues/234

Again. After a fresh Installation of OMV5 i can not SSH-Login as pi-User. Which is awful because it was possible before the installation .. argh. It seems OMV remove the ssh-group-functionality from the user, but you can re-edit it in the GUI under User > Pi > Edit > Groups > turn on "SSH". After that i can SSH-Login as the (usual) Pi-User AGAIN.

SSH is short for Secure Shell and is basically a mechanism for securely connecting to remote shell on a host computer. You can do all sorts of funky stuff with SSH, but for the time being we are only interested in being able to get access to a bash shell on OMV. Enable SSH On OMV, ssh can be found under Services->SSH. Tick the Enable box.

Can't login to web interface : OpenMediaVault

https://www.reddit.com/r/OpenMediaVault/comments/b0qx1i/cant_login_to_web_interface/

The only thing that has changed is that I created a user and added it to the samba, ssh and sudo groups, and probably a couple others, I forget which. That user can log into the web interface but can't access any functionality. I'm not a Linux expert by any means but I can SSH in with that new user to make changes.
